What age is this program for?
This will depend on your child's DEVELOPMENTAL stage. Every child is unique. I would say that ages 4 and up will not only enjoy it, but be able to participate in all aspects of the program. However, younger children will also enjoy and learn. My 2-year-old follows along, participates, and remembers what she learns in my videos. Some children may not be ready yet for the writing portion, so you can just skip that part for now and go back to it when they have better developed their fine motor skills.
For how long can I access the content?
For forever! You will have lifetime access to this program and all of the contents (less the live lessons). Not only that, but you can access ANY TIME 24/7. This means you can create your OWN schedule and routine. This also means you can go at your CHILD'S pace.
I don't know how to teach. Will I be able to help my child?
Absolutely! I will help you every step of the way. The program is meant to do the heavy lifting, so you can spend your valuable time having fun with your child. I provide all of the worksheets, activities, and games, so you don't need to wonder how to do it all. Not only that, but I provide you with a list of other ways to practice in a fun way, complete with a full description of how to implement it. You can do it!!
Is it really free???
Absolutely!! I wanted something to be completely accessible to all families starting out with reading practice. Not only that, but the program is a great jumpstart to future learning, and every child should be able to benefit from that, regardless of financial situation.
Do I have to assess my child?
I love types of assessment to 1. see where your child is at in their current knowledge so you know what next steps to take, and 2. to check in on progress and retention. If you don't know where they are at in learning, it will be very difficult to help them in the best way possible. Know where they are, so you know where to guide them. The assessment can be the formal sheet with flash cards, OR you can play a game that has them casually tell you answers, and you can track it afterwards. Sneaky assessments. :)
